Don't Starve is a fucking fantastic game.

I jokingly call it "Wood Chopping Simulator 4." Jokes aside, this is somewhat accurate.

In this game you find yourself alone in the woods, with no instructions, no manual to guide you. I was tempted a time or two to go to the Googley-goo and ask how to use widget X or thingamajig Y. I resisted.

The AHA! moments in this game are worth the price of admission, and worth the time invested. After playing for 1.5 hours, and I suddenly see a penguin...What do I do? What use is a penguin? Should I...And I am dead and restarting.

The unlockable characters are cool and fun. I got a genuine guffaw out of the lumberjack's dark secret.

And Zen. There is something calming about chopping trees, mining ore, and building things. And zen is shit upon by the hounds of hell.

9/10 would bang.
